Colleen Kelly works closely with business aviation hiring managers and their HR partners to best understand their unique business and talent needs. To fulfill the needs of API’s clients, she thoroughly analyzes each candidate’s skill set, values and experience to ensure an ideal cultural fit for every project.
Colleen applies her extensive background in employee search, screening and coaching to match business aviation organizations with the industry’s top talent, ranging from aviation directors to maintenance directors, flight technicians and captains.
She joined API as Director of Candidate Services in 2007, and was promoted to her current role as Vice President in 2011. Throughout her tenure, she’s coached hundreds of aviation professionals during their career transitions, including one-on-one mentoring sessions via API’s outplacement service, “Your Best Foot Forward.”
Prior to API, Colleen held a strategic, director-level position at a multibillion-dollar Fortune 500 company. During her seven-year tenure there, she had responsibility for the profitability of a global division with $160 million in annual revenue.
A member of the NBAA, Northern California Business Aviation Association and Women in Corporate Aviation, Colleen has been a featured speaker on the topics of career development, personal branding and interviewing best practices.
