The Position: Candidate Services Manager:
This key team member is responsible for the API Registered ProfessionalTM program, ensuring that API has a strong, diverse, and current pool of candidates in order to serve the needs of our clients. He/she needs to cultivate candidate relationships and serve as an "ear to the market” through his/her relationships. This is a relationship management, recruiting, and sales/marketing position to our candidates and potential clients who can develop through the candidate experience. This individual needs to be able to develop broad and deep relationships and have a magnetism that attracts others to them. He/she needs to possess a high level of confidence, discretion and professional presence. This person should serve as the company's public image to the candidate world and must quickly develop a strong "brain trust” with the other key members of the API team. He/she should have the opportunity to expand responsibilities as he/she develops.

- Manages the API Registered ProfessionalTM program through API's applicant tracking system/talent database: Job Diva.
- Candidate screening and evaluation, including conducting face-to-face interviews on occasion. Also responsible for conducting post autobiography calls.
- Candidate recruiting at industry events. This may include public speaking as a sole presenter or as a panelist.
- Candidate cultivation at other industry events including but not limited to:
- NBAA (BACE) Annual Meeting
- NBAA Regional Conferences
- NBAA International Operators Conference, Maintenance Managers Conference and/or other position-specific conferences.
- Partnering with the Search Project Leaders to help identify talent via preliminary search efforts, i.e., creating and utilizing search lists, making initial calls to check in with candidates, and bringing forth candidates who immediately come to mind based on working knowledge of the database.
- Developing and executing the API "personal touch”; being the first person a candidate speaks to directly at API.
- Identifying and advancing talent though the API registration process and reporting those registrations on a weekly basis. Identify trends, commonalities, recruiting needs, and highlighting exceptional talent to be 'fast-tracked.”
Metric-based performance goals will be set and evaluated in the following areas:
- Currency and diversity (of talent type) of candidate database.
- Database management; maintaining clean data (active verses inactive); proactively touching existing talent outside of weekly calls at a minimum of 15 contacts per week.
- Recruiting: identifying where we lack talent and executing recruiting projects based on that need.
- Identifying top talent and expediting their registration, including management and tracking of interview assignments; initial registration to face-to-face interview within nine months.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of aviation industry or recruiting experience
- 4-year college degree or equivalent experience
- Ability to travel with notice
- Recruiting/HR/ATS experience is a plus
- Previous experience as a remote employee is a plus
- Ability to attend industry events as a participant for networking and recruiting purposes and as a presenter if needed
- Proven track record of consistency and high achievement
- Embraces technology. Is active on social media, especially LinkedIn
- A driving curiosity and need to find technology solutions as a part, not all, of the way to approach and tackle search, business development, communications, project management, and efficiency
- Sense of humor, high standard of professionalism, discretion, and decorum
- An inherit curiosity for people with an ability to separate personal feelings from both candidate and client needs
- Ability to have frank and hard conversations with candidates with grace, respect, and honesty
