Satellite Flight Department

Located in Toluca, Mexico

Aviation Personnel International (API) – the premier talent identification firm in Business Aviation – is proud to partner with one of our U.S.-based Fortune 50 clients to establish a new satellite base of operations in Toluca, Mexico.

This elite flight department will operate a Praetor 500 throughout Mexico and neighboring countries. The aircraft will be XA-registered and initially operated through a Management Company until the corporation obtains its own certification. All employees will begin with the Management Company and, once the XA registration is secured, will transition to working directly for the corporation.

We are building this operation from the ground up and are currently seeking:

  • Chief Pilot
  • Four Captains
  • Two Maintenance Technicians
  • One Scheduler / Dispatcher

Chief Pilot

Required qualifications include:

  • Valid Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) issued by AFAC.
  • Category 1 Medical Certificate issues by AFAC.
  • Restricted Radiotelephone Operator License issues by the federal Telecommunications Institute (IFT).
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Mexico and if needed hold the necessary B1/B2 & C1/D United States VISAS.
  • Must hold an ICAO English Language Proficiency endorsement certified by AFAC.
  • College Degree or proven equivalent experience.

Target qualifications include:

  • 3500+ hours of total flight time.
  • 500+ hours of jet time.
  • Experience as Chief Pilot and/or Director of Operations in business aviation operations.
  • 10+ years of aviation experience directly related to flight duties.
  • Type rating in at least two business aircraft, EMB 500 strongly preferred.
  • Additional tangential skills that contribute to the Aviation Organization’s mission readiness (Operations, Training, International Flight Operations, etc.)
  • FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP), Multi-Engine Pilot Certificate with English Proficiency endorsement.
  • USA Radio Operator License
Captain/Pilot in Command

Required qualifications include:

  • Valid Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) issued by AFAC.
  • Category 1 Medical Certificate issues by AFAC.
  • Restricted Radiotelephone Operator License issues by the federal Telecommunications Institute (IFT).
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Mexico and if needed hold the necessary B1/B2 & C1/D United States VISAS.
  • Must hold an ICAO English Language Proficiency endorsement certified by AFAC.
  • College Degree or proven equivalent experience.

Target qualifications include:

  • Minimum of 2000 hours of total flight time with 3500+
  • 1000+ hours of jet time.
  • 3+ years of aviation experience directly related to flight duties.
  • Type rating in at least two business aircraft, EMB 500 strongly preferred.
  • Additional tangential skills that contribute to the Aviation Organization’s mission readiness (Operations, Training, International Flight Operations, etc.)
  • FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP), Multi-Engine Pilot Certificate with English Proficiency endorsement.
  • USA Radio Operator License
Manager, Aviation Maintenance

Required qualifications include:

  • Valid Aircraft Maintenance Technician License – Class II issued by AFAC
  • 4 years’ experience as a practicing licensed aircraft technician
  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally in support of the aircraft as well as training and development

Target qualifications include:

  • 5+ years’ experience as a practicing licensed aircraft technician
  • 3+ years’ experience maintaining complex jet aircraft, preferably with experience within the Embraer family of business jets: Praetor, Legacy, or Phenom
  • Familiarization with aviation tracking software4 years’ experience as a practicing licensed aircraft technician
  • A degree in aeronautical engineering with a professional license registered with the General Directorate of Professionals in Mexico
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate
 
Senior Coordinator, Aviation Operations

Required qualifications include:

  • 3-5 years of experience in aviation operations dispatch and scheduling of ICAO flight plans
  • Bachelor’s degree in aviation management, business administration or equivalent experience.

Target qualifications include:

  • Dispatcher Certification or equivalent
  • Experience working in a high-pressure, 24/7 operational environment
  • Excellent communication skills, interfacing with corporate leadership and their executive assistants
