Debbi Laux

Candidate Services Manager

As API’s Manager of Candidate Services, Debbi Laux leads the API Registered Professional™ Program, and is often the first line of contact for jobseekers interested in growing their career with API and its client base.

Partnering with API’s recruiters, she helps identify top industry talent, bringing attention to the most qualified candidates for any number of API’s aviation-related positions, including leadership, maintenance, flight operations, in-flight services and scheduling/dispatch.

Debbi has enjoyed an impressive career of leadership in business aviation. For more than 20 years, she held successive roles at MedAire, ultimately serving as the company’s Trade Relations Director.

Prior to joining MedAire, she was the Customer Service Manager for Corporate Jets in Scottsdale, Arizona, (which has since been acquired by Atlantic Aviation). For 10 years previously, she was employed by the American Express Company, in Phoenix, Arizona.

Debbi is involved in many community and industry organizations, including the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA), Arizona Business Aviation Association (AZBAA) and Women in Corporate Aviation. She currently serves on the NBAA’s International Operators Committee (IOC) and was a six-year member of the NBAA Safety Committee. She was also a member of the NBAA Schedulers & Dispatchers Committee (SDC) and continues to serve on its Advisory Council.

In 2010, Debbi co-founded the “Pay It Forward” campaign, a national community professional clothing drive for the SDC Advisory Council, and served as its Chair for 10 years.

In 2015, she helped introduce the “Navigator” volunteer program at the International Operators Conference, and has since worked with other volunteers to help first-time attendees maximize their experience at the IOC. 

Among other volunteer posts, she has served as President of the AZBAA, President of the Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center Auxiliary, Secretary of the Phoenix Junior League and a YMCA Board Member.

As a respected speaker and moderator, Debbi has presented at countless industry events, for organizations such as the AZBAA, IOC, SDC and NBAA’s Regional Forums to name a few.

In October 2022, the NBAA presented Debbi with the prestigious Silk Scarf award at the NBAA Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition in Orlando, Florida. This award is given to outstanding individuals for contributions made to the business aviation community during their careers.

Debbi attended Arizona State University, in Tempe, Arizona, where she studied Business and Communications.
